New Orleans Style Beignet Mix and Sugar

NEW ORLEANS BEIGNET MIX - Wrapped Mix (10 oz.)

The mix was developed as a way to make it easier for people to enjoy this classic pastry at home. Beignet mixes typically contain flour, sugar, and other ingredients needed to make the dough, and may also include powdered sugar for topping the finished product. Overall, beignets are a beloved part of Louisiana and New Orleans' culinary heritage, and beignet mix allows people to enjoy this delicious treat in the comfort of their own homes.

INGREDIENTS: In a large bag, Wheat Flour Enriched (niacin, reduced iron, thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), Malted Barley Flour, Sugar, and Kosher Salt. Active dry yeast in a small bag. JUST ADD Milk, egg, and canola oil.

You will need the contents of this packet and

1 cup milk 1 egg
1 tsp Orange Vanilla Sugar from packet
5 to 6 inches canola oil for frying
Beignet Sugar in a shaker or sifter

Sift the dry ingredients into bowl. Add milk and egg and mix well. Drop by the spoonful into deep oil, heated to 375 degrees. Beignets will flip on their own. Fry until golden and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar. 

BEIGNET SUGAR- Straight Jar (4 oz.) Powdered Sugar

Beignets are commonly served hot with powdered sugar for breakfast or as a dessert. Powdered sugar is often sprinkled on top of the beignets just before serving, adding a sweet and light touch to the pastry.
